【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversahighperformanceliquidchromatographictestmethodforthedeterminationofmono-aromatic,di-aromatic,tri+-aromatic,andpolycyclicaromatichydrocarboncontentsindieselfuelsandpetroleumdistillatesboilingintherangefrom150to400?C.Thetotalaromaticcontentin%m/miscalculatedfromthesumofthecorrespondingindividualaromatichydrocarbontypes.Note1Aviationfuelsandpetroleumdistillateswithaboilingpointrangefrom50to300?CarenotdeterminedbythistestmethodandshouldbeanalyzedbyTestMethod,D6379orothersuitableequivalenttestmethods.Theprecisionofthistestmethodhasbeenestablishedfordieselfuelsandtheirblendingcomponents,containingfrom4to40%(m/m)mono-aromatichydrocarbons,0to20%(m/m)di-aromatichydrocarbons,0to6%(m/m)tri+-aromatichydrocarbons,0to26%(m/m)polycyclicaromatichydrocarbons,and4to65%(m/m)totalaromatichydrocarbons.Compoundscontainingsulfur,nitrogen,andoxygenarepossibleinterferents.Mono-alkenesdonotinterfere,butconjugateddi-andpoly-alkenes,ifpresent,arepossibleinterferents.Byconvention,thisstandarddefinesthearomatichydrocarbontypesonthebasisoftheirelutioncharacteristicsfromthespecifiedliquidchromatographycolumnrelativetomodelaromaticcompounds.Quantificationisbyexternalcalibrationusingasinglearomaticcompound,whichmayormaynotberepresentativeofthearomaticsinthesample,foreacharomatichydrocarbontype.Alternativetechniquesandmethodsmayclassifyandquantifyindividualaromatichydrocarbontypesdifferently.FattyAcidMethylEsters(FAME),ifpresent,interferewithtri+-aromatichydrocarbons.IfthismethodisusedfordieselcontainingFAME,theamountoftri+-aromaticswillbeoverestimated.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
