【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardappliestosystemsforenciphermentofADPinformationinthephysicallayerofdatacommunications.ThisInternationalStandardisequallyapplicablewhethertheDataEnciphermentEquipment(DEE)isimplementedasaphysicallyseparatepieceofequipmentorimplementedaspartoftheDataTerminalEquipment(DTE)oraspartoftheDataCircuitterminatingEquipment(DCE).WhentheenciphermentisintegratedintotheDTEorDCE,thisInternationalStandardappliestothoseportionsoftheDTEorDCEdesignwhichimplementtherequirementsofthisInternationalStandard.Interoperabilityrequirementsaredefinedforthefollowingphysicalinterfacedefinitions:V.24,X.20bis,X.21bis,X.20,andX.21.ThephysicallayerisdescribedintheOpenSystemsInterconnectionReferenceModel,ISO7498.Inphysicallayerencipherment,alloftheSDUisnormallyenciphered.TheinteroperabilityrequirementsdescribedinthisInternationalStandardapplytobothsynchronousandasynchronousoperationinbothfullduplexandhalfduplexmodes.ThemainbodyofthisInternationalStandardspecifiesrequirementswhichareapplicabletotheuseofvariousenciphermentalgorithms.AnnexBspecifiesadditionalrequirementsfortheuseofDEA(ANSIX3.92-1981).ThisInternationalStandardalsospecifiestwoalternativemodesofsynchronousoperation-thedelayedoptionandtheimmediateoption-whicharemutuallyincompatible.ThisInternationalStandardalsospecifiestwoalternativeactionsforBREAKsignallingforasynchronousoperation-ClassAandClassB-whicharemutuallyincompatibie.
