【摘要】:EachweightingfactorgiveninTable1representsthefractionofoverallspeechintelligencecontainedwithintheassociatedone-thirdoctavefrequencyband.TheweightingfactorsinTable1areobtainedbymultiplyingeachindividualone-thirdoctavebandweightingfactorofANSIS3.5-1969by300.Articulationclass(AC)valuesarethusrelatedtobutdistinctlydifferentfromarticulationindex(AI)values.Inparticular,theACconsidersonlytheeffectofsignalattenuation;whiletheAIconsiderssuchadditionalfactorsasspeechlevelandspectrumandbackgroundsoundlevelandspectrum.Note28212;TheACissimilartotheDAIratingproposedbyWarnock6andhasbeenshowntocorrelatewithAIvaluesderivedfromANSIS3.5,exceptwheretheAIapproaches1or0(AIvaluesrangebetween1and0andapproach0withincreasingprivacyandnonintelligibility).Articulationclassvaluesgivethereverse.Theyusuallyexceed100andincreasewithincreasingprivacyandnonintelligibility.ExtensivecomparisonbetweenACratingsandsubjectivejudgmentsofopen-planspeechprivacyhasnotyetbeenaccomplished.1.1Thisclassificationprovidesasinglefigureratingthatcanbeusedforcomparingbuildingsystemsandsubsystemsforspeechprivacypurposes.Theratingisdesignedtocorrelatewithtransmittedspeechintelligencebetweenofficespaces.1.2Excludedfromthescopeofthisclassificationareapplicationsinvolvingfemalespeakersorchildren,languagesotherthanEnglish,andsoundspectraotherthanspeech.Thusexcluded,forexample,wouldbecomparisonsofbuildingsystemsorsubsystemsfortheireffectivenessinreducingtransmittednoisefrommachinery,industrialprocesses,bowlingalleys,musicrooms,placesofentertainment,andthelike.PublishedworkbyPearsons,etal,mayeventuallypermittherestrictiononfemalespeakerstoberelaxed.
