【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfortestingconcretepipesewerlines,whenusingthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testmethodtodemonstratetheintegrityoftheinstalledmaterialandtheconstructionprocedures.Thistestmethodcoverstestingof100to900-mmdiametercircularconcretepipesewerlinesutilizinggasketedjoints.Note18212;Theuserofthisspecificationisadvisedthatmethodsdescribedinthistestmethodmayalsobeusedasapreliminarytesttoenablethemanufacturerorinstallertodemonstratetheconditionofsewerpipepriortodeliveryorbackfill.Minimumtesttimespresentedinareforpipelines.Holdingtimesfortestinganindividualpipemayhavetobeincreasedtoallowfortheaccumulationofleakagewhenthetestedpipeareincorporatedintoacontinuouspipeline.1.2ThistestmethodisthemetriccompaniontoTestMethodC1214.Note28212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatthenegativeairpressure(vacuum)testcriteriapresentedinthistestmethodaresimilartothoseingeneraluse.Thetestandcriteriahavebeenusedwidelyandsuccessfullyintestingsmallerdiameterpipe.Largerpipewillbeacceptedmoreconvenientlybyvisualinspectionandindividualjointtesting.Note38212;Theuserofthistestmethodisadvisedthatnocorrelationhasbeenfoundbetweenlossofvacuumandwaterleakage.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection6forspecificsafetyprecautions.
